I have two partitions on my laptop hard drive...we have XP hom
installed. The partition is nearly full, can I move the partition, o
allocate more space to it. I'm thinking that the data files should b
on one and the system files on the other. Can you give me some advic
please on how best to work with this partition.

Can I remove it altogether

To manipulate partions on a hard drive after XP is installed one requires a
3rd party product such as Partition Magic.

If you have sufficient space on the second partition, you can try to move
the 'My Documents' folder from C to D. Right click on MY Documents, clcik on
properties and then click on the MOVE.. button.

Which partition is nearly full ? The one (C) with your OS or the othe

Assuming you're referring to the XP Home O.S. partition being almost full,
just find any unattached large data files or folders such as photos, saved
docs & suchlike that you've saved, create some folders for them on the
second partition & just cut & paste them to there.
This is also assuming that you've already gone through the normal - [my
terminology] " 'clean-up & reclaim space' maintenance" by going through the
'Windows, 'C' drive, Properties, Disc Cleanup' routine.
