.... I think!

I removed a linux partition from my disk and can no
longer reboot. I think the main boot files must have been
on the linux partition.

I tried getting into the recovery console but niether
fixboot nor fixmbr can find anything to work with.

Can I save my windows partition or will I have to format
the drive?? Any suggestions welcome.

Hi Mike,

How to recover depends on how it was previously configured. You might try
bootcfg /rebuild from the Recovery Console prompt.

Where did you put initially the LILO or GRUB?
In the MBR??? If so, put it in the Linux-root next time...and run a FIXMBR
in the Recovery Console (Windows 2000/XP) or just run a FDisk /MBR when
using Windows 9x/ME/NT 4.0...
