All help appreciated,

I have a 28 page form that i have compiled but am in need of assistance
pertaining to protecting the document from editing. 26 of the 28 pages are
simply form fields which i have no problem protecting....the other 2 are
going to be a bit tricky...i suspect. It is a drawing (created in word) that
i need to allow people to move or position icons i created in word. Is it
possible to allow these 2 pages to be edited while maintaining my protection
on the other 26 pages. I know it sounds confusing.....Thanks for any help.

If you insert section breaks in your form, you can leave some sections
unprotected.

Suzanne,
Thank you for your reply and suggestion. Unfortunately this does
not work in my case. I have already protected the sections I want protected.
The issue I am having is not being able to move around drawings (word
drawings - icons that I've made) in the unprotected area. If I unprotect the
entire document then I can grab the drawing handles and move them as i see
fit. But when a portion of the document is protected, i am no longer able to
access the drawing handles. Any other ideas? Thanks...

Unfortunately, that's the way Word works -- protecting any part of the
document disables manipulation of drawing objects, even those in unprotected
sections. There are other features that are similarly disabled. The
workaround, such as it is, is to temporarily unprotect the document.

Thanks Jay,
I had a feeling I was outside the boundaries of Word. I will
have to try something different. Thanks again.
