Part of web link cuts off when I click it

I've created a website using Frontpage 2002 and am trying to test an anchor
set halfway down the index page. When I click the link from my email it
takes me to the top of the index page but not to the anchor point.

If I do this from an XP machine it takes me to the anchor point with no
problem, and if I type the whole string into my browser it takes me to the
anchor point. So it doesn't seem like a Frontpage problem.

I'm using Vista Home Premium with IE7 and Windows Mail. All IE7 defaults
are set. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
 
Known issue. Both Windows Mail and Windows Live Mail fail
to transfer the anchor character (#) to the browser.
Hopefully it will be fixed in the next version of Windows Live Mail
(said to be due late summer or autumn).
 
Thanks for your quick reply Gary. Doesn't exactly make me happy, but at
least it makes me stop scratching my head. :-)
