Is it possible to access the parallel port?

You need to use some API functions to access to this port.

Here are an example to access COM port but for you, it's the same.

In the GetDevice function, you just need to use LPT1, instead of COM.

I was previously using the library at http://www.logix4u.net/ but I dont
think its working on the windows server 2003 machine I am testing the
application on. With that you set the port (data or control) and the value
to assign to the port, however I am unsure how to do the same with the code
you suggested.

This article http://www.codeproject.com/csharp/cspplcds.asp is basically
what I am trying to do.
