My OKIPAGE 4w printer produced for me a parallel port problem.
"The parallel port driver has not been installed. Run the Printer driver
setup.exe on the on the setup disk to install it."
This fault make my Windows XP SP2 to load very slow at start up before this
message appears. Following OKI the driver does not start. An unknown
problem!
I have loaded the driver several times. No success.
After contacted OKI and send me a uninstaller.exe file (driver clean up) No
success.
Runned Norton WinDoctor. No succsess.
If I disconnect the printer he Windows load up is stil very slow, but no
error message apears.
As soon I connect the printer again, the message appears again at startup.
I have manualy deletet from my disk, I believe, all the files and drivers
inn connection with OKI.
In the registry I have tryed to clean all keys refering to OKI, but there
are some keys
in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE | System | ControlSet001 | Enum, I cannot delete in
LPTENUM and LEGACY.
The message tell me "Cannot delete OKI_DATA_CORPOKI_OKIPAGE_4W Error
deliting the key."
How kan I delete this keys? Or what else can I do?
OKI, as they told me, they do not have registry cleanup disk

I have had to change the port type in bios to get it to work properly...have
you looked at that?
If the port is a weird one, you may need the motherboard setup disk to get
the driver.

Hi
I have had running the printer for ages without problems, but from one day
to an other it weird over.
I will try to install it from the motherboard setup.
Tanks for your info.
Now I have to run. My brother in low is 65 and we have a big party.

Have a nice weekend
