Panda Internet Security 2005

hi, can anyone tell me why after i installed Panda Internet Security 2005
onto windows xp, my internet connection has dramatically slowed down. Does
anyone know what's the best security software out there that when you have
it installed it doesnt affect the internet connection speed.

All personal firewall software running on a underpowered PC will slow
down your internet access.

Get a NAT Router as a minimum level of protection and you would need
that PFW application.

I use Tiny on one of my laptops when I at a clients location or when I'm
at a remote location. Now that I can purchase a cheap NAT appliance I
don't have to use that method, I will be ordering a cheap NAT appliance
so that I don't have to use a PFW.

The other thing you need to understand is that a PFW, even if it's a
quality solution, is only as good as the individual operating it.
