problem Panda Platnium Internet Securit

I purchased Panda Platnium Internet Security 2005 which was suposed to be
compatible with Xp. I am running Win XP sp2. After installing the software
my internet and home network connection was inop. I went to Panda's site and
they had a patch for this problem, I downloaded and installed it and still
no network. I uninstalled the software and internet now works. Re-install
and no network.
Has anyone come across this and know of any fixes ?

have you checked your firewall settings.
i don't use Panda but know a few that do, and understand the firewall
setting can be tricky sometimes.
