Cameras require driver software to be loaded in order to download to your
computer from the camera. Have you installed the software that came with
your camera?

Hi dasher-
I know nothing about video, unfortunately, but I found this older post
regarding your camera:
"A driver for the video cam...hmmmmmmm....Can you be more specific. To the
best of my knowledge a video camera doesn't accept drivers unless you are
refering to a webcam driver or something like that"
http://www.computing.net/drivers/wwwboard/forum/4121.html
See the link below. Perhaps you need to buy software:

See this link to DV Driver:

I suggest you make a new post about video burning and editing software. You
should also use Google to find some good video forums, as this forum is
mainly about still photography.

Since your camera has removeable flash media, get one of the external
USB media readers (usually $10 or so) and remove the memory chip from
your camera and insert it in the media reader to transfer pictures.

It will show up just like another disk drive, and you can use Explorer
or your favorite utilities to copy and paste photos to your hard disk.

On balance, be glad that you are not encumbered with a camera maker's
idea of photo software. ;-)
