paint application

Hi there,

Since being infected with the blaster virus I
have been unable to use "Paint" to edit pictures, etc. I
have enabled a firewall, instaled Norton, scanned all
files and destroyed the virus. However when I attempt to
open paint I am greeted with "Paint has encountered a
problem and need to close. We are sorry for the
inconvenience...". All other applications appear to work
fine. I have attempted to remove and reinstall paint in
the control panel but it makes no difference. If anybody
has any bright ideas on how to fix this problem, I would
be very grateful. I have Windows XP and an intel pentium
4 processor.
Thanks,
Sarah

Hi Sarah,

I had the same problem - right from the start my paint
wouldn't work and gave the same error - Some will tell
you to reload it - that didn't work for me. I did a
search and found someone had the same problem - they
received a reply from Kelly and directed the to Kelly
corner for a tweak. I tried it and it worked great.

Here's the link Kelly posted,

Run the edit on line 191

Hope this helps, work for me.
