Paging Error in XP Startup

Happy Christmas Techies,

I cannot reset page size in virtual memory. Set it to
768, but never takes effect. What am I doing wrong?

Did you select set after indicating the size

Yes! Many times. But always reverts to default of zero
(0) and restart is Verrrrrrry slow.

Can't figure it out.
