Pages with Meta tags don't display graphics in my IE 6

The subject pretty much says it all. I recently installed
Internet Explorer 6 along with my SBC Yahoo DSL and every
time I get to a page with a meta tag in it the browser
does not display .gif's or .jpg's. Maybe my original
Internet explorer was corrupted and it just caried over to
the upgrade. Before I upgraded I did a system restore to
original software and there seems to have been some files
that were missing (thats what the report said anyway). If
anyone has any Ideas your welcome to respond.
