page numbers

How do I change the orientation of a page number? I am using page numbers in
the bottom middle on pages that are in "portrait" position. I also have
pages in the document in "landscape position". I need to rotate the page
number so it's appearance on a page (when you're reading the document) looks
the same as the page numbers on the "portrait postition" pages. Does anyone
know how?
