Page Numbers

I have merged two power point documents. I have then tried to add page
numbers but they only appear on half of the document ( ie one of the
documents that i merged).

Page Numbers are showing in the Master Slide and I have reapplied this Slide
Design to the whole document - to no avail!

Any suggestions

Go to the Slide Master. Check if the Number Area (#) place holder is there
(you can normally find them at the bottom right hand corner of the slide). If
it is not there, click Format > Master Layout > Slide Number.

Then, close Master View. Highlight (hold shift and left click on slide
thumbnails) all slides where the page number is missing. Click Format >
Background. Check if "Omit background graphics from master" is checked. If
so, uncheck it. Click Apply.

Does it work this time round?

"Omit background graphics from master" - was already unchecked.

You might want to drop me an email at pptheaven[at]gmail[dot]com together
with the ppt attachment.

Go to one of the slides where the page number doesn't appear.
Click where the page number *should* be.

If that selects something, it may be that the selected shape is covering up the
page number. Try moving it out of the way temporarily to see if the page number is
lurking beneath it.

Seems like all the slides without the page numbers are title slides.

Click Insert > Slide Number. Uncheck "Don't show on title slide".
Apply to all.
