page numbering

Hello Everyone,

I have tried everything I can think of and also searched the user forums for
page numbering. I think I have changed something or turned something off for
the page numbers not to show up. I have done the footer thing and footer
switching thing, nothing!

All that comes up at the bottom of doc is: {page}

Please HELP!

right click on {page} and select "Toggle Field Codes" and see if the number
appears. You are looking at the field code for the page number.

Allen--it all has to do with inserting section breaks correctly. Let me know

It actually has nothing to do with section breaks. It has to do with field
display, which can be sorted by pressing Alt+F9.
