Page numbering start on page 7

Dear all,

Please could you help me?

I have a fiction book laid out in a Word document. The first 6 pages are the
title page, copyright information, acknowledgements etc.

The start of the book (chapter one) actually begins at page 7 of the document.

I want the page numbering of my document to not show until page 7, and I
want page 7 to show as page 1, i.e. so that chapter one is the first page.

Similar problem at the end of the document. I want the page numbering to
stop on the last page of the story. There are several blank pages afterwards
which do not need to be numbered.

Please can you advise me? I've tried many things...
