Page Number

Once page numbers are inserted into the document, how do
I remove them.
 
The page numbers are probably in the header or footer. Switch to Print Layout view if you are not already in it. Click on View | Header and Footer. Select the page number and delete it.
 
And note that if you've used Insert | Page Numbers, the page number will be
in a frame. Make sure you get the frame as well as the number; otherwise
it's liable to wander and cause problems. See
