Odd Section Breaks and Numbering

I have inserted odd page breaks into a document, once I print them, they are
correct. As soon as I add in the page numbers, Word will not recognize the
odd page breaks. How do I fix this?

Are you trying to begin a section with an even number?

This can happen for sections where the page numbering restarts. Make sure to
enable the "Different odd or even" and/or the "Mirror margins" option for the
document. You will find these options in the Page Setup dialog box. "Mirror
margins" is in the "Multiple pages" list on the Margins tab, and "Different
odd and even" is on the Layout tab.

To access the dialog box, do this: File | Page Setup (Word 97-2003) or Page
Layout tab (of the ribbon), click the dialog launcher button in the Page
Setup group (Word 2007).
