Page File setting

I have 1.43 gigs of memory, A 512 stick and a 1 g stick and am running XP
Pro. I have a Presario sr1030nx. I have Virtual PC with Windows 2003 running
in it which I run on my extra hard drive that is 200 gb that I have split in
half. M drive has the virtual PC on it and V has the page files set on it. I
have the page file set at "system Managed" Then on the c drive that has the
operating system, I set the page file at "custom" 20- 120. In task manager, I
have never seen my page file go above 540. my computer has slowed down quit a
bit and has improved a little when I upgraded the memory from 512 to 1 g1 .
Any sugestions on what I should set my page file too, and am I wrong to
have the custom setting on my C drive? Th.....Vinceanks

From what you have said it appears that you have done things right,
especially with regards to the small page file on the boot drive (C:)
and the larger one on a different physical drive.

The Alex Nichol article that Harry Ohrn referred you to is the best
available resource for accurate information about the page file.

Good luck
