page cannot be displayed

I am new to the internet and have recently purchased a
computer with IE6. I am on the net for a while and every
time when i try to access certain sites(not always the
same ones)the "cannot find server and page cannot be
displayed" page appears.From then on i cannot access
anything although the modem is still connected.To go
online again i must restart the computer.somebody please
help!!!

I'm using modem connection as well, and I do experience
similar problem. Most likely the server your modem is
connected to is busy with all the incoming request from
subscribers like you and me. Try a different number to
your ISP (I have 2 local numbers I use to connect). So if
one server is busy, then you try another one. Hope this
