Page Cannot be Displayed - Permanently

I can connect to the internet through programmes such as
MSN Messenger and update programmes so my internet
connection is fine yet when I run internet explorer I
cannot access a single page. All I can get is "Page
cannot be displayed" and "Cannot connect to server" the
problem arose shortly after ridding myself of a toolbar (a
piece of adware" with the use of Adaware. I was thinking
that maybe the programme deleted a necessary file or I
suddenly have had my browser hijacked.

I am using a different computer to post this and cannot
access anything on the problem computer. I have run anti-
virus software and come up with nothing whatsoever.

Ignore the message. I just fixed it and am using the
problem computer once more - if anyone else has had this
problem, the solution for me was to use WinsockFix.
