I cannot seem to insert page breaks or page numbers in my wordpad documents.
This is a pretty basic function. Am I doing something wrong, or is it not
possible?

Not possible - it is only a text editor with some limited formatting
capabilities thrown in. It is all right for very limited tasks but when
pushed it is quickly found to be profoundly disappointing. Help "What is
Wordpad?" almost says as much. Don't waste your time on it. Doug

Hi Elwyn,

If you like Wordpad but want some more functionality you might be
interested in taking a look at www. jarte.com. This little outfit,
Carolina Road Software, put out what is essentially a shell for Wordpad.
That is, it uses the Wordpad engine, but gives it a nice interface and a
lot of extra functionality. You can download and use it free, although a
small one time license fee buys a fre extra features. Many users find
the free version trotally adequate for what they want. I personally paid
the fee mainly to support ehri work. At present there is a very stable
version 3 beta available which I have been using for serious business
use for about two months now, and it's great. The interface is a little
different to standard, although you can reconfigure it to look more
standard if you wish. If you take a look at it I don't think you would
be disappointed. Oh, and the only connection I have with them is as a
very satisfied long term user.

Hope this helps.
