Hi,

I made a PPS with media files (mp3 and wmv) in it.
I added Windows Media Player object and all it's fine.
But when I try to create a CD with my PPS using
the wizard to zip all the files I got an alert message (Unable to add
ActiveX controls...)
and I got no media files.I tried also to change the URL property of WMPlayer
object
but, how could I do that for a CD!??!?

Thank You in advance.

What version of PowerPoint? If you're using Package for CD in PowerPoint 2003,
it is smart enough to know that the Viewer that is being included does not
support ActiveX controls. If you are planning to distribute a presentation
avoid using macros, VBA, ActiveX controls and OLE objects because the Viewer
doesn't support them.

You can use Insert > Movies and sounds to play MP3's and WMV's.

Well I have no a real Go to Pack...for CD...I got a wizard to zip
a presentation for another PC.
So I can't zip my media files because of that error...
I would rather use VBA but I have no clue of which path insert in URL
for the WMPlayer.
I know that I can embed directly the media into the PPS but I
would to be able to use the controls such as Play,Pause,Stop...etc...

Thank you so much for the reply.

Ok. I tried Pack and Go in PowerPoint 2002 and the message you are seeing says
the following in English:

PowerPoint can't pack the ActiveX controls in this presentation. Please make
sure the computer on which you will show this presentation has these controls
installed.

So, you can still click on "Finished" and your presentation will be packed, but
without the ActiveX control. Move it to a system that does have the Windows
Media Player control installed and it will work there.

Does that help?

Gotcha!^_^

I know that the PPS will be packed, but without the main part: the media
files!!
And a CD without that is useless :(
My intention is to create a presentation mastered on an autorun CD, but now
my problem is only to link/embed the media files in the CD.

Thank you so so much.
