Package for CD - do not want to Autorun linked PowerPoints

I've created a PowerPoint CD with links to many Word and PowerPoint
documents. These are documents meant to be opened and edited by the users
for their own schools. The problem is that once you use Package for CD, you
cannot edit the PowerPoints - they are automatically set to browse at kiosk
and are unusable as we intend them to be used. I tried not linking to them,
but including them as extra files on the CD when I packaged it, but what
happens is that after I close the main PowerPoint, all the others are there -
already opened. How do I make powerpoints NOT autorun?

You can't edit anything that is on CD. It has to be copied to your local HD to be edited. If you don't want it to autorun How do you want the CD to viewed?

To not use the autorun, when you use the package for CD Option use the copy to file option (which is the best way to go in all cases), then copy (burn) the files to your CD excluding the autorun.inf file and the bat file

Actually I figured it out. I know it has to be copied to a local HD, but
using PowerPoint Viewer, the user is not able to do anything but look at the
first slide of the subsequent PowerPoints. However, when you are Packaging
it for CD, I found the "Options" button and clicked on the drop down that
says "Play only the first presentation automatically." I put instructions in
my main presentation on how to open the CD and browse for the PowerPoint I
want them to customize (edit) for themselves.
