P4R800 Ati Question

I just got the P4R800 and the integrated ati is no where
near as fast as my ati 8500 card. Is this normal or do I have
something wrong. I can play BF1942 at 800x600 with the 8500 and its
unplayable with the integrated graphics.
 
the integrated graphics has only 2 pipelines versus 4 on a stand alone 8500.
What are your other system specs?
 
P4 2.4b cpu. 512k.
