cpu: intel 2.6HT FSB800
mobo: asus p4p800, revision: 1.02, bios: 1010
ddram(borrowed for testing, all in the ASUS DDR400 QVL, 256MBx2): from
Transcend, Kingston, Samsung and Apacer.
agp: prolink gforce mx2(AGPx4, 1.5v of course)
pci: none, nothing was installed
sound, nic, built-on mobo
no other external hardware connected(zip drive, scanner, printer, during
xp installation neither at the testing)nothing was connected at all.

system: xp, clean install, sp1, fully windows updated.
device driver: all up to date, WHQL.

bios memory settings: tried all kinds of combinations(by spd, manually
(timing stated on memory module sticker), never overclocked, etc).

performance mode: AUTO, with stardard and turbo... the system tends to
reboot more often.

power supplier tested on a 300W, 350W and 400W

========================

getting STOP error 0x000000B8 all the time, no error found in the event
log, system never passes 48hours once it's on and random self-reboot.

solution: TURN OFF HYPERTHREAD!!!
passed 72hours mark and kept going

=========================

is this a problem of the mobo or the cpu, tested on several brand of
memory, power supplier turned out the same, but by disabling the
HYPERTHREAD, all works perfectly.
have i wasted money with HYPERTHREAD??? or it's a mobo bug?

Probably some software or driver you are running is not SMP friendly.
