P4P800 - Can't run Asus Update - BIOSINFO.DLL ERROR Help!

D

Dirk Puslich

Hello,

I have a P4P800 Deluxe Motherboard running Windows XP Pro.

I updated the BIOS successfully to 1008 (just came out a few days
ago).

I want to use MyLogo2 which requires Asus Update to use.

Whenever I try to install Asus update it gives me an error the says
BIOSINFO.DLL and tells me that I don't have an Asus motherboard and it
won't install. One time I did actually get it to install but when I
run Asus Update it freezes my computer completely (no Ctr-Alt-Del
action or anything).

Is Asus Update not compatible with the new 1008 BIOS or is my system
jacked up?
I've reinstalled the BIOS and the same thing happens so I'm pretty
sure the BIOS is not corrupted.

Anyone have any ideas or know wtf? The MyLogo2 feature is one of the
reasons I got this board in the first place.

Oh yeah, I also downloaded the new Asus Update and it still gives me
the same problem.

I haven't tried rolling back the BIOS to 1007 or 1006 yet to see if
that makes a diff.

Thanks!
