OK, enter the BIOS and select ADVANCED

Select the first option JUMPERFREE CONFIG and then select AI OVERCLOCK
TUNER and select MANUAL. This will give you more menu options
concerning your RAM etc. Now select the third option DRAM FREQUENCY
and choose 400MHz

Once your system preoperly with these settings, you can play around
witht he AI OVERCLOCK TUNER and tweak the % overclock. I can get a 5%
overclock on my 2.8GHz C chip without affecting the stability of my
system.

Whew, upgraded from 1006 to 1016 and got 6 beeps and then a check sum
error. Re booted and changed my boot sequence to HD rather than floppy
and viola it worked. Although, it seemed to change all options back to
their defaults (sound, lan card, etc). I hardly ever mess with the
bios but have been getting strange 'disk not found errors'. I recently
installed two maxtors(sata) in a raid config in addition to my
already 2 sata drives.

Bob did you set up a SATA RAID config on the Promise controller ?
I was not able to set up one on my board....... HDs not recognized...... PC
locked during the boot on the message " Fastrack 378.... Scanning IDE
drives....". The only other HD I have connected to the ICH5 controller is a
Raptor.... thnks ciao
