Firewire problem with P4C800 deluxe

Hello,

I'm getting loads of dropped frames when i'm trying to capture DV through
Firewire. I've just done some searches on Usenet archives and i've
discovered that this problem has been reported several times. Hasn't it been
fixed yet ? Would i have to buy a PCI card ?

The output disk are two S-ATA hard drives mounting in RAID 0 stripping on
the Promise controller. Also, i tried with a simple hard drive mounted on
the IDE primary master channel : same problem.

Configuration :

P4C800 deluxe (latest BIOS : 1016)
P4 2,8 GHz
512 MB PC3200
2 x 120 GB Seagate S-ATA
Windows XP Pro + SP1a

Mine works fine. I;ve got single 120GB SATA and use Sony Dig8mm camera via
front panel FW.
