p.s. W2k Pro. not being able to open

I also do not have the original OS installation cdrom from which it was
installed on this particular computer, any ideas?

No win cd, no recovery cd, no recovery partition = paperweight
Ebay for a genuine win 2k cd

That is what I'm afraid of, paperweight, but I will search for a "genuine win
2k cd" and load it in and hope I don't lose any files I presently have on
there.

Thanks to DL and Dave Patrick for responding. Was able to get files saved.
Used another hard drive to reinstall W2K pro and use the original hard drive
as a slave drive to recoup what files I had on old and thus transferred said
files to new hard drive.

All is well again!
