Owner account

made a fresh install of xp home usb mouse was not recognized and used TAB to
navigate but could not open username boxes rebooted and windows had already
created user "Owner"

I went to user accounts and changed name but now I have to go to safe mode
to delete tmp file and when windows reboots it creates another one that I can
not delete "access denied etc"

Tried to rename Owner in Docs & Settings access denied "System file"

Is there anyway to rename Owner or prevent tmp files from being created for
a nonexistant user. Or do I have to do another clean install to fix this.

Create a new user profile, then copy the Owner user to the new user.
You can delete the OWNER folder and all subfolders from the Safe Mode
when you are done and have taken over all your personal data.
