OWA, Internet Explorer 8.0.6001, Exchange 2007

On one PC, a fully up to date HPTablet running Vista Home premium:
I can log in to see my email etc in OWA
When I try and compose a new message:;
- the cursor flickers in the message body, characters enter in reverse
order in the message body;
- I cannot type in the To, CC or Subject fields for 15 - 30 seconds,
sometimes longer. Then the flickering stops, and I can address the message,
and properly type in the message body.

There is no problem when I reply.

Same problem composing in OWA, IE 8. Wild cursor.

I, too, am having this problem. Short of some of the server side resolutions I've seen (an "alleged" Microsoft update), are there any other solutions.
