OWA - Delete messages reappear in inbox upon next logon

I have a OWA heavy user (large mail store, receives between 100 and 200
messages daily) who states that when deleting messages from his inbox, they
reappear upon logging in later in the day.

I am currently using a backend - frontend configuration with Exchange 2003 SP1

Probably best to repost this in an Exchange group as Outlook Web Access,
despite its name, is a part of Exchange, not Outlook.
microsoft.public.exchange.admin would be a good place to start.
