overheating

needs help bad

i hv aan amd duron 1.3ghz with a volcanoe 8 heatsink and
fan a new power supply........ok heres my problem...my
cpu is sitting at 46 degrees even when im doin nuttin and
have to have a fan blowing into the case to keep it
cool.......can someone please help me thankz
 
What is the room temperature and what is the temperature of the chip in
Farenheit?
46 degrees sounds impossible to me - so you must be in another unit of
measure.

the temp is 52degrees celcius and 125 fairenheit

46c isn't unreasonable for a small case, and limited case fans, in a hot
room. 60c is the point at which I'd get worried.
 
That temp is quite normal.
