Overdrive-tab is gone... / Suddenly no DDC support?

Hi everybody,

somehow, my Overdrive-tab got lost. It's gone. A driver uninstall followed
by a new install of Catalyst 4.8 didn't help. Further more, the ATi Hotkey
poller is enabled (some sites suggested it was necessary to have it
enabled).

Another strange thing is that after a crash earlier today, my monitor isn't
recognized anymore. Before, the Catalyst drivers correctly polled DDC data
from my monitor. Now, the drivers tell me my monitor doesn't support DDC.

I'm guessing somewhere in Windows XP's registry something has gone terribly
wrong. Anyone got an idea what's up here?

Solved... by uninstalling ATi Tool. Apparently, this utility was blocking
these functionalities somehow.
