Overclocking

I would like to know how to overclock my system to make it faster than what
it is, what are the bad and good points of overclocking and is there any
other option apart from overclocking to speed up computer apart from deleting
files?

according to the definition of overclocking:running
a system board at a speed that is not recommended
or guaranteed by CPU or chipset manufacturers.

I assume that the chances are slim unless you
get a CPU & chipset that define default values.
