I have the ASrock K7VM2 Rev 3.0 motherboard, but havnt got a CPU.
It lets me adjust the FSB beyond 166Mhz. I am planing to buy a duron
1.6Ghz and o/c it to 2ghz, does anyone know if this can be done on the
above board. I will also have to purhcase PC 333 RAM. My PSU is
350Watt.

The CPU will come locked as they do on AMD. Please can anyone comment?

Thanks.

You'll need to match the CPU fsb speed to the memory speed, so you
should get PC2100 DDR (which is what Asrock recommend for this board)

Funny, I have one of these value boards as house server.
Currently got a Duron 1300 in there with PC2700.
I've gotten a holdofa 1700+ (that clocks on an NF7S at 2344 MHz) - and will
run it as fast as poss'.
But I don't know whether the PCI clock is locked to FSB or if it uses
dividers or something.
Can anyone enlighten me ?
