hi,
how can i set outlookexpress as default for send/receive email?

To start with, you'll need to learn the difference between Outlook and
Outlook Express. This group is for Outlook.

There are groups for OE where you can ask the question, but I think you'll
find that if you start up OE it will ask you whether you wish it to be the
default. Unfortunately, when Outlook is updated, it will tend to hijack the
default setting again, and you'll again need to start OE and set it as
default.

You may have to set it as the default in Internet Explorer as well as
Outlook Express.

OK how do I stop Outlook 2000 appearing on start up when I now use
Windows Mail?

If OL 2000 starts when you log in, then it's either in the Startup program
folder or in one of the Run keys in the registry. YOu can use
STart>Run>msconfig, select the Startup tab, and look.
