Greg

I have new Dell computer with Office 2003. I set up my
earthlink account to work with Outlook, but my test
emails just sit in outbox and I cannot receive email. I
get the message "an object cannot be found" when trying
to send emails stuck in outbox. I have contacted 3 techs
at Earthlink, who claim its an MS problem. My test
message is sent when using the test settings toggle (I
get meessage from my other computer, not the one with
outlook). I
reinstalled Office twice & downloaded all Office and XP
updates. The internet connection works, Outlook express
worked until I remove the profile. Help!

My new Dell, Outlook 2003, and Earthlink are keeping me
up tonight doing exactly the same thing! What to do?

If you feel that everything is configure right, and you are using a static
IP, then check your gateway IP and your DNS IP.

I've got the same problem as Greg and Dave.
My new Dell is running Outlook 2003 under XP, and seems
to be properly configured for my earthlink
account. "Test account settings" successfully sends a
message to my account. But "send/receive" yields "An
object could not be found" error message, and will not
send or receive.
So, what object would that be, and how do I fix this? I
do not understand Frank's suggestion to "check your
gateway IP and your DNS IP."
Advice here and/or at (e-mail address removed) would be
most gratefully accepted.
Seems to be a recurring problem... Greg and Dave, did you
guys find a fix?
Craig.
