My outlook express is doing fine but trying to open
outlook 2002 gives me an error message about unable to
open .dll file. and a pstorx.dll file?

Sounds like a Repair install is in order. In Control Panel>Add/Remove
Programs, locate Office or Outlook and click "Change". Then find the repair
option.
