Hello, I have Microsoft Outlook 2003 that was put on my computer by my
previous employer. My previous employer is no longer in business.

Whenever I open Outlook, it looks for the Microsoft Exchange Server (which
is no longer) I would prefer that it just look for my personel verizon e mail.

Any suggestions or help

Use the mail applet in the control panel to configure a new Profile, add a
new data file and configure your pop mail account, set this profile as the
default.
I hope you have the Office / outlook cd, as at some stage you will need it

Thanks

I already do have a new e mail set up and it is set as the default but
outlook continues to look for the Microsoft Exchange Connection.

No you do not. Re-read the post by DL and follow what he has posted. Just by
changing your name and email ady is not enough to remove the Exchange Server setup

Because you didn't do what DL said you should do and use the Mail applet in
Control Panel to remove the Exchange reference from your mail profile.
