I just bought an hp computer with windows vista. I need outlook to run my
treo software. How can I upgrade windows vista to include outlook. I have
all of the other features of office so it would be repetitive to buy office.

Microsoft Outlook has never been included in Windows and its not in Vista
either. Its sold as a separate standalone product or as part of Microsoft
Office. Most OEM Computers include as a bundle with their PC purchases.

Nope, some OEMs include Microsoft Office with their PC purchases, it could
be an incentive to buy a particular system or sometimes its an optional
choice between other productivity software such as Works as you mentioned,
OpenOffice or WordPerfect Office.

It sounds like you have Office Student and Teacher Edition which does not
come with Outlook. The cheapest way to get Outlook is to buy just Outlook
itself. Amazon.com and others can get it. You could also purchase a version
of Office that includes Outlook but this would be very expensive as I don't
think the Student and teacher Edition is eligible for upgrades. You'd need
to purchase a full retail edition. You may also lose OneNote in the process
as I don't think any of the retail versions of Office include OneNote.
