Outlook XP rec'vs multi copies

I receive multiple copies of the same email when I open
Outlook or click send/receive. When I look at the POP
server there is only one message from which all these are
born.

The server, as directed by Outlook, deletes the message
once it is retrieved. Help!

I have the same problem ... I keep re-receiving emails back to April 23, even though I have deleted them from my POP account (and emptied the trash bin) and configured the Outlook account to delete messages on the server after 5 days or when they're deleted from deleted items. Where CAN they be coming from?? Could this be a worm or virus or something? Please, any advice or help would be appreciated by all of us! (Outlook 2000 SP3 on Windows XP. POP is server is yahoo)
