Outlook XP (running on XP Pro) keeps freezing when trying to open an e-mail
or attachment, no errors messages, sometimes waiting will see the e-mail
open sometimes Outlook has to be shutdown via task manager> there is no
signifigant CPU or memory useage going on during this frozen state.

Any suggestion??

What is your pst size?
Have you run scanpst.exe on it?
What happens if you go to run and type "outlook /safe" with out the quotes
and hit ok

The .pst file is about 120mb in size, I have run scanpst and apart from a
couple of minor errors (its words not mine) it found and corrected the
problem is still there.

Unfortunately I don't have access to the laptop, can you tell what the
expected results of outlook /safe are so I can pass them on and then get
the results back and let you know??

Thanks

Tim
