Outlook 2007 Freezes

Outlook 2007 sometimes freezes when new mail is received. CTRL-ALT-DEL and
restart is required. I have Outlook 2007 with Business Contact Manager linked
to two Live Mail accounts using Outlook Connector. Vista is my operating
system.

This has been going on a year and I've followed a lot of advice on the
forums to no avail. It's a Dell system and I uninstalled the Dell add in for
Outlook.

I was also using Avast antivirus and deactivated its Outlook add in. Finally
thinking it was an Avast problem, I uninstalled Avast and loaded Kaspersky,
but I'm still getting the freeze.
 
Have you tried to install the Service Pack for Office 07 and all the updates?
 
Yes. Office SP1 installed as a scheduled update in mid April.
