Outlook XP - autofill cache emptying on close

Recently, one of my users on Outlook XP has been having the
autofill cache empty when Outlook closes. normally, this
cache would track the 200 most recent names typed into the
"to" field, but his copy of Outlook is emptying the cache
out each time he closes outlook and shuts the PC down. Any
suggestions on how to correct this?

IF I wanted to turn off this option, here's how I'd do it. I'm hoping the
answer to undoing it is located in the general vicinity. But I don't know
why it deletes them when he closes outlook and maintains them while he's
working. It sounds like one of those paranoia settings that TWEAK-UI used
to control (but I checked, and this isn't there now). Does he have some
type of privacy or security software that's automatically clearing his
internet history and other such stuff (like autocompletion entries)?

Check out Control Panel > Internet Properties > Advanced. Near the bottom
are some security settings that may be checked, specifically the empty temp
files on closing. It wouldn't hurt to check out all the settings as long as
you're going to customize it. Also, check the Security and Privacy tabs in
the same section (you may want to customize them as well for this person).

Another place to look for customization is Control Panel > Folder Options >
View.

Good Luck!
