Hi,
i constantly have this annoying error :
"Data file "xxx.pst" was not closed properly
The file is being checked for problem"

whenever outlook XP crashes.
any idea how to solve this?
thanks

This is normal on the next startup of Outlook when working with pst files
and Outlook didn't shutdown cleanly the previous time. (Outlook is running
an integrity check.)

You can always run the inbox repair tool (scanpst.exe) against the PST file
before starting Outlook when you notice that Outlook doesn't shutdown
cleanly.

is there a way to avoid this check?
its taking me 10mins for every pst files, and i have serveral of them.
pls help

As far as I know, no. Can you figure out why Outlook isn't shutting down
cleanly? Look for things that keep Outlook resident or change the way you
close apps/shutdown the machine. For example, stamps.com software will not
let Outlook close properly.

i don't know why, outlook always shutdown unexpectedly when i attach files.
what should i do?

What type of antivirus software do you run? (Wondering if it is scanning
and not releasing resources correctly.) Some antivirus products will list
their addins in Outlook. See Tools | Options | Other | Advanced Options |
Addin Manager or COM Addins.

Yes, try disabling it temporarily to see if the problem clears up.

does this means that my mails are not protected by the antivirus?

No, it doesn't mean that. As long as you have your on-access scanner
running, you are protected.

i removed the plugin, outlook still crash when i attach files
wat should i do?
