Hello:

I have MS Outllook 2003 set as my email program. My settngs--at Mail Setup--
are to "Send immediately when connected"

However, when I click on an email link to send an email there or when I hit
"New Message' in IE, an "Untitled Message" page appears. I can compose a
message there. But when I send it, it goes to my Outbox and stays there
until the entire MS Outlook program is opened, and I hit Send/Receive. This
happens while I'm on online.

Is there a way Ican set Outlook up so that the email message is sent
immediately when hitting Send as long as I'm online?

My connection is Dialup 56K, and the email account in question is a POP
account.

Thanks in advance:

Eli

Of course Outlook must be opened to send or receive email. You wouldn't
expect any program to work when closed. You should open OL and allow it to
run in the tray while you are online.

Hi Mary:

The Task Manager indicates that Outlook Untitled-Message is running when the
"New message" Untitled-Message interface is opened, even if the entire
Outlook isn't opened and the icon isn't in the Sysytem Tray.

I wanted to be sure that in fact I MUST have the program launched in order
to have those mails sent automatically when clicking on "Send". Seems a bit
different from OE.

Thanks again:

Yes, Outlook must be open/running to send or receive messages.
Yes, Outlook is quite different from Outlook Express.
