Outlook won't load after XP SP2 install.

Running Windows XP Home and Office 2000. Installed XP SP2 today. Now when I
try to launch Outlook, I get an immediate error message saying "Microsoft
Outlook has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the
inconvenience." No hint what's causing the problem. Tried a repair reload of
Outlook with no change in the problem.

More likely is that you installed an add-on to Outlook which is not
compatible with SP-2. Try starting Outlook in its safe mode ("outlook.exe
/safe") which will not load any add-ons to Outlook. If that works, disable
all add-ons (Tools -> Options -> Other -> Advanced) and enable them one at a
time to see which one causes the problem, then contact that add-on author to
find out if they have a version that works with SP-2.

When Outlook loads, it also has to load all the add-ons (and when it exits,
it first has to unload each add-on). So an add-on that won't load will also
prevent Outlook from loading.
