outlook won't connect to exchange 2007

Ok here's a strange issue.

I can access mailbox using owa
when I setup the account it will find users mailbox and underline
when i start outlook under that account it states it can't find exchange
server cannot connect.
useing outlook 2003 and exchange enterprise 2007 with roll up 3 installed.
tried on more then one computer with the same results. tried multiple
profiles with no success.

any help or direction would be helpfull.

was exchange installed with support for older versions of outlook or only
for outlook 2007?

Yes it was setup for older cleint support and I have since solved this issue
(although i'm clear how).

This issue also came up on another computer with same issue.

I figured it was either a rights issue of some sort or the database was
getting corrupted.

Before I started to dig into those areas I decided to make a backup of the
database before anything else broke. Once the backup finished everything
started working again ?? My best guess is the database got flakey (yep that's
a tech term) and the backup ended up cleaning it out. If anyone else has two
cents to add I would be welcome to it. as of now this has been resolved.

I have the problem with only ONE user. He can read his mail on OWA, but cant connect with Outlook.
